This film is part of a comprehensive retrospective at Jiangsu Art Museum dedicated to YANG Tingbao — master architect, influential architectural educator and pioneer of professional architectural practice in twentieth-century China. The centrepiece installation features a range of YANG’s surviving buildings, emphasising his contributions to the advancement of modern Chinese architecture, and traces the country’s modern architectural development through the lens of his global yet distinctly Chinese explorations.
