This film accompanies an exhibition curated by Francesco Bonami and WU Tian that returns art to a human scale to foreground its daily function. Drawing on the intertwined practices of artist duo JAMESPLUMB and a whole host of international artists, the film animates the show’s objects and installations against the backdrop of a museum reconfigured as a nocturnal space. Composed with a minimal narrative and framed through sustained observation, the film offers an opportunity to slow down and contemplate how small, individual objects can stand as a quiet testament to the weight of the everyday.
